  • involve, or it is expected to involve, more than 500 person days;
  • involve more than four people carrying out construction work at any one time;
  • involve demolition or dismantling works.

These apply to:

  • New build construction;
  • Alteration, maintenance and renovation of a structure;
  • Site clearance;
  • Demolition and dismantling of a structure;
  • Temporary works.

Whether you are a Client, a Designer or a Principal Contractor, we will conduct the role of Planning Supervisor (due to be replaced by the Co-ordinator role in April 2007) on your behalf. We will:

  • Ensure the project is notified to the HSE;
  • Ensure that pre-tender health and safety plan is prepared in good time;
  • Be in a position, if so required, to give adequate advice to the Client on the Design and provision for Health and safety;
  • Take reasonable steps to ensure the co-operation between Designers;
  • Ensure that enough attention is paid to health and safety during the design phase;
  • To give adequate advice to the client on the Contractor’s competence and provision of health and safety if so required;
  • Give adequate advice to Contractors on Designer’s competence and provision of health and safety if so required;
  • Ensure that the health and safety file is prepared, reviewed, amended as necessary for the client.
