The CDM Regulations apply to projects where the work is/will:
- expected to, or it will last longer than 30 days;
- involve, or it is expected to involve, more than 500 person days;
- involve more than four people carrying out construction work at any one time;
- involve demolition or dismantling works.

These apply to:
- New build construction;
- Alteration, maintenance and renovation of a structure;
- Site clearance;
- Demolition and dismantling of a structure;
- Temporary works.

Whether you are a Client, a Designer or a Principal Contractor, we will conduct the role of Planning Supervisor (due to be replaced by the Co-ordinator role in April 2007) on your behalf. We will:
- Ensure the project is notified to the HSE;
- Ensure that pre-tender health and safety plan is prepared in good time;
- Be in a position, if so required, to give adequate advice to the Client on the Design and provision for Health and safety;
- Take reasonable steps to ensure the co-operation between Designers;
- Ensure that enough attention is paid to health and safety during the design phase;
- To give adequate advice to the client on the Contractor’s competence and provision of health and safety if so required;
- Give adequate advice to Contractors on Designer’s competence and provision of health and safety if so required;
- Ensure that the health and safety file is prepared, reviewed, amended as necessary for the client.
