Having drawn the short straw, here goes with my first consultant’s blog.
Originally from Birmingham, I have moved around the UK and the world and finally settled in the East Midlands in 2004. I have been with OMS now for 7 months. Coming from a military and a manufacturing background into consultancy was a little different for me, but I soon settled in and became used to advising clients as opposed to telling the workforce how to go about their daily routine safely. So where have the last 7 months gone?

Cavill Fabrications Ltd - Cavill are based in Loughborough and are steelwork fabricators covering structural steelwork, secondary steelwork and metal work. They also have design capability, a fabrication shop. They carry out site installations throughout the UK, utilising there in-house team of qualified staff.

Training also plays a role in my life here at OMS. I have so far rolled out the following courses for clients at our own training facilities and also at client premises.
SGMS Group – Manual Handling and Risk Assessment courses.
Coors Brewers - IOSH Working Safely courses.
SPA Core and Food & Drink refresher courses.
As you can see, a challenging and varied role!
