The Health and Safety (DSE) Regulations 1992 require that employers assess the workstations of 'users' of display screen equipment to ensure that their health is not detrimentally affected by using the equipment.

Civil compensation is now reaching several hundred thousand pounds for long term upper limb disorders caused by poor use of display screen equipment.
